One woman, a wheel, and a questionable coffee habit ☕️

Kia ora — My name is Kim and I am the entire team here at Greater Than Ceramics. That’s right: CEO, maker, photographer, packer… all me!

I’ve been creating small-batch, bespoke homeware since 2024 — pieces I love making and hope you’ll love using. 

The name is a nerdy little nod to the maths symbol “>” because my maker’s mark happens to resemble it. It felt fitting: I want my pieces to be more than just functional, more than just pretty — I want them to be small, understated “greater than” moments in your daily life.

Every vessel is shaped, glazed, and finished by me, with a bit of clay smeared through my hair for good measure. Whether it’s your new favourite coffee cup or the platter you bring out for special occasions, each piece is made to bring a little joy to your every day.
